A moment of silence can be impossible to find
But a moment of silence can give you peace of mind
The furnace is running and the TV is on,
The baby is crying, I could go on and on
I want to hide when the noise is too much,
I want to drift away to my dream land, that no one else can touch
My place of work, isn’t much better
You hear faxes, printers and typing of letters
Everyone’s in your business, they all want to know
What is it you’re doing and where you plan to go
A moment of silence is impossible to find
Especially when you are the private kind
So take a moment and hide away
So at least you will have some peace of mind today.
